As with everyone life gets the best of us-right? Super busy- Lily is 7 months now- this pic is from August- I need to upload camera pics asap! Madi is in 2nd grade. Both doing great. I will make it a point to blog more- though I don't think anyone reads this but more so for myself I guess:) Lily is sitting up and rolling and scooting. We need to babyproof and put up the gate at the top of the stairs! Well as always I am up to late on the computer! More to come:)

Only one day till trackout *SIGH*

Well Madi's last day of 1st grade is tomorrow and then she is off for the month of July. As much as I love her- I will need to plan stuff to keep her busy. I am signing her up for swim lessons that start on Thursday- the girl is a bit afraid of the water- putting her face in and such:( So this shall be interesting. I have heard great things about Atlantis Swim School and they are gonna be in our community pool. Plus she may be the only kid in the lesson so she will get lots of instruction:) I can not believe my baby is gonna be in 2nd grade. I feel old:) Here is my baby holding my baby-

We got Lily's Gro baby diaper and though it is still being prepped (cloth diapers need to be washed several times in hot water to gain full absorbency) I tried it on her and it seems to be a great dipe. it is very soft luscious organic cotton and the cover is one size and has nice aplix with stretchy tabs to get a good fit. Here a a cute pic of it on her:)

Photobucket" border="0">

I know my last post had me talking about my body woes and I wanted to let y'all know I rejoined Lifetime Fitness. I planned on working out this morning at 5am but Lily kept me up till 11:30 and then was up again in the middle of the night. I swear she is teething already. So instead I am gonna go this evening. I need to get my bootie in shape and feeling better! Many of you that know me well know that I have struggled with migraines since the birth of Madi. I am thinking of trying a Baltic amber necklace to help with those. I can't take any meds to prevent them while I am nursing so I think I will give it a try- if nothing else they are pretty:) Anyone have any experience with amber? Anyone wanna try it with me:) Well off to do some glamorous laundry while Lily is napping!

AHHHHHH_ The Joys of Mommyhood

So thus far in my almost 7 yrs as a mommy I have slid by the skin of my teeth for some of the nasty mommy milestones. Just this year I cleaned up puke for the first time (from my child-work not included:) Of Coarse it was when i was 8 months preggo and Madi had just eaten a boiled egg *gags* but I felt very lucky to go 6+ yrs with out it. She has never had explosive diarrhea or the stomach bug. (Crap I think I called in "sick" once saying she had the stomach bug.....) well i have officially been Christened! The other day I had just taken Lily out of the bath and went to put a nice dry dipe on her tush. I grabbed both her legs to do the baby-tilt and slip the dipe under her bum and WHAM I get squirted in the face- mouth- glasses- with POO! So nasty. I just yelled "HELP" and my hubby comes in laughing his toosh off as I go running to the bathroom to barf. FUN TIMES!

As for the rest of my glamorous life- Madi's last day of 1st grade is next Tuesday. I am excited for her and also worried about a month of entertaining her:( She is officially un-grounded tomorrow and I have seen an improvement in her attitude. A week without computers, books, TV and friends was tough on her but hopefully she learned her lesson. Lily is getting so big now! i set her on the floor earlier today and looked away- next thing I know she has rolled onto her side and ALMOST to her belly! WOW! She is so much fun now- so smiley and happy and likes to play with toys:) We got her a Sofie the Giraffe and she loves it. I will post a pic tomorrow! Too cute- though the dogs think it is a dog toy and come when ever she squeaks!

I think I am getting to the end of my rope though- not in terms of Patience but as far as my body is concerned. I am so tired of this doughy body of mine. I think I am ready to tackle it. Many of you know that Dennis and I tried 3 plus years to conceive Lily and thus we aren't doing anything to prevent us from having another right now. Though the thought scares me a tiny bit:) I can not imagine being preggers at this weight as my starting point. So depressing:( So I think I shall start to take care of ME! I am setting myself a bedtime of 10:30 and promising to get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. Those are my starting points and I can go from there. As a nurse and a mom I am so much better at taking care of others- I am making myself a priority! Well ladies and gents- it is 10:26pm and I must retire for the evening! Good night blog world!

Gro baby

So many of you know we have chosen to cloth diaper our little miracle baby Lily. We absolutely LOVE IT! So far we use Kissaluv size 0's, prefolds with snappi's, and one lonely Bum Genius one size organic that I save for the diaper bag. We love the Thirsties covers and also have a few Bummis covers and one lone Aristocrat wool soaker for nights. I have had my eye on these new dipes called Gro Baby- they are one size and super cute and I get to try one for free since I am blogging about it!! Here is the link with info. I will post a full review after I get to try it!!!! And of coarse some super cute action shots! You will not beleive how COOL cloth dipes are now-a-days!!!

http://www.thenaturalbabyco.com/grobaby%E2...2-ic-11_16.html

Where did my baby go?

Sometimes being a mom is the hardest job in the world. Yesterday was one of those days. Madi come home from school and everything seems fine. I ask her about her day like a good mom, and she gives me the canned "fine" response. Turns out that she had a horrid day and got sent to the principals office. MY kid got sent to the principals office *BIG HUGE SIGH*. The past few months have been a slippery slope of attitude issues that have progressively gotten worse. She reminds me so much of myself as a child. I never meant to be "bad" but just didn't "get" how my actions lead to their consequences. Well we grounded her for a week and pushed her bedtime to 7pm for the week. Tonight we are going to the Durham Bulls game without her. We have hired a sitter to come and put her to bed while the rest of the family is having fun at the game. I know I need to be strong to prove a point but it is breaking my heart. It seems like punishing her is really punishing me. These are the moments I feel like my baby girl is slipping away:( I must remember that "This too shall pass".

A Blog to keep up with the Stone Family!

So I have finally taken the leap and created a blog to keep y'all posted on our family. I plan to be the primary blogger as Dennis has the tendency to hijack my blogs and turn them into book reviews:) (Gotta luv him:) Most of you know me-I'm Su, 29 yrs old and a mom and RN. I work PRN at 2 different hospitals. I try to do one shift per week to keep my feet wet and mantain my sanity in the grown up world:) Dennis is my high school sweetheart and works as a Software Engineer in Test. We have known each other for what feels like forever:) Our "love bloomed" while we worked at Burger King in high school. We now live in Apex, NC and have 2 beautful girls- Madison and Lily, and 2 dogs- Gracie and Ted Mosby. I will try to post often and put up lots of good pics:)
